Another nice day of hiking!

The River Loop Trail and Set Rock Creek Falls ... Awesome!

My friend Calla and I went out hiking today. We did the River Loop Trail again. I will never get tired of this hike and it really is my favorite hike. She had taken her husband there yesterday and had lost the trail. So we went again today and had her lead, so she could figure out where she had gone wrong yesterday.

It was a beautiful day, a wonderful hike, good company, and even looked at new things. I'm tired, so I'm not going to say a lot. But I will upload photos. I took Gary's camera with me and played with the panoramic shots.

  1. Bonnie,

Beautiful, beautiful pics! I especially like the one of the "rapids" They all just turned out amazing! Wonderful, wonderful day and I can now lead the hike with confidence, thanks to your careful tutelege!

So enjoy discovering and discussing the plant varieties along the way and the falls never fail to disappoint.

Remain sad about the dying Hemlocks, I can't help but think that we are among the last generation to have seen the forest in all it's majesty as it was in the sixties.

I too went to bed early. Tired but happy and dreaming of more hikes. I know I will never tire of this one. I experienced an emotion on the trail yesterday that I like to refer to as Pure T Happiness!!

Starting the book, A Walk in the Woods, it is going to be a page turner I can tell.

What a day, what a hike, what a friend!

Enjoy your other passion today, riding your bicycle as I unfortunately have to attend to more mundane things...wha!
